SHARE Award for Excellence in Technology...

The SHARE Award for Excellence in Technology recognizes SHARE member companies that have utilized IBM technology and leveraged SHARE's curriculum to achieve significant business results at their organizations.

The winning company is awarded based on the scope of the solution, strategic value, innovative methods, best practices contribution and SHARE influence as judged by a committee of your peers.

To be eligible for the award, submit a completed APPLICATION to SHARE Headquarters. Please describe the solution, the IBM Technology employed, its impact on the solution, and the association with SHARE's programs.


Winning Company Receives:

1. FREE full-week conference registration for two (2) employees of the Member Company to attend SHARE in Orlando: February 24-29, 2008 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
   
   
2. Announcement and Award presentation from SHARE's President at SHARE in Orlando.
   
   
3. Round trip airfare (Member Company location to serve as origin city) and five nights hotel accommodations for both employees (individual rooms including applicable taxes) for SHARE in Orlando. Any additional expenses including, but not limited to, gratuities and meals will not be covered by SHARE Inc.
   
   
4. Two (2) FREE full-week conference registrations for future SHARE conferences (must be used within one year of Award date). Accommodations, additional expenses, etc. are not included.
   
   
5. The opportunity to present a session at SHARE in Orlando.
   
   
6. Recognition in SHARE Publications, on the SHARE Web site, and potentially other industry publications chosen at the discretion of SHARE Inc.

Get the Recognition that you Deserve

The winning entry will need to demonstrate how member participation with SHARE influenced implementation and development helping to carry your business strongly into the 21st century. Each application should address the following criteria:

• Scope of the Solution: This may be described in terms of complexity of the problem and solution, the extent of the impact on your organization, or similar relevant factors.
• Strategic Value: Discuss the benefits the solution provides to your organization. This may include service level improvements, cost reductions, competitive advantage, management reporting or other important benefits.
• Innovation: Examine the innovative methods employed to reach your objectives.
• Best Practices: Illustrate how your approach is applicable to other SHARE Installations. This may include business process improvement, lessons learned, technology process and the like.
• SHARE Influence: Identify evaluation criteria, training, hints and tips, or other input gleaned from SHARE programs that contributed to successful implementation of the solution. Also include all of the technologies pertinent to the value of the IBM technology employed.

Submission Rules and Guidelines
Submitter must be an employee of active SHARE Member installations and nominees must be active SHARE member companies. One nomination/application will be selected as the contest winner and all submitted applications will be judged by a panel of judges consisting of IT Industry professionals. All decisions by the panel of judges are final. Winners will be notified by phone and an official letter

Prizes are non-transferable and no substitutions or cash equivalents are allowed. Due to some company policies, prizes that have monetary value may be declined without forfeiting the Award. Entry in the contest constitutes permission for SHARE Inc. to interview and photograph recipients for use in SHARE publications without any further payment from SHARE Inc. All entries become the property of SHARE Inc. upon submission. SHARE Inc. reserves all rights, including the right to edit, publish, use, adapt or modify any entry without further consideration of payment from contestant. All taxes (unless noted) are the responsibility of the winner. No information regarding entries or the judging will be disclosed. Company representatives accepting the award must be at least 21 years of age. Void where prohibited by law.
